Mon 14th June 2010
Went to discuss with mr kon on the various things:
- things we are doing this holiday:
>freeze drying (getting the parameters)
>extraction of proteins
>article
>water analysis (helping mr ting)
- need to add what we learn on that day

Tues 15th June 2010
Check out and stock take on the water analysis equipments and chemicals for thurs
brainstorm on what to test on thurs:
decided to test:
- iron
- aluminium
- phosphate
- nitrate
- sulfate
- copper
- hardness
- ammonia
- asenic
- lead
- E.coli

Thurs 17th June 2010
Done water analysis for Mr Ting
Samples from 5 wells in i dun noe where
only 50ml given so we did only phosphate, sulfate, nitrate, ammonia and E.coli tests.
report sent to Mr Ting and Mr Kon

lesson of the day: do water analysis on phosphate, sulfate, nitrate, ammonia using colorimeter,
do E.coli test using coliform test, writing water analysis report.

Fri 18th June 2010
FINALLY...we get to run AKTA to get the proteins out of MO seeds.
uses 10.1g of grinded seed powder to deoiled and we run abt 10 to 15 ml into AKTA to get the proteins out.

lesson of the day: run AKTA and water deoiling our own with mr yeo's help (AKTA part)
